I’m Darien Veal, a Chicago Realtor and Associate Broker with a deep connection to the communities I serve.

Born and raised on Chicago’s South Side, I have a personal investment in the growth and success of our neighborhoods. While the South Side is home, my experience extends throughout Chicago, the surrounding South and Southeast suburbs, and Northwest Indiana. I believe understanding real estate means understanding not only the property, but also the people, communities and opportunities surrounding it.

Before entering real estate, I spent more than 20 years in logistics sales, developing the negotiation, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills that I now bring to every real estate transaction. Logistics taught me how to manage moving parts, navigate challenges, communicate under pressure and keep working toward a solution when things don't go according to plan.

My real estate experience is personal as well as professional. I've been a renter, buyer, homeowner, landlord and seller. I've experienced the challenges of foreclosure, built and operated a real estate investment company, and successfully completed multiple renovation projects. Those experiences have given me a perspective that goes beyond simply understanding a contract or a market statistic.

I understand what it feels like to make a major financial decision, to take on a renovation, to manage an investment property—and to face setbacks along the way.

That is one of the reasons I have a particular passion for helping first-time homebuyers and aspiring investors. Real estate can be complicated, and I believe people deserve an advisor who will take the time to explain the process, help them understand their options and provide honest guidance—even when the answer isn't what they hoped to hear.
