The expression; it is always hard to write about yourself is true. I could hire someone to write this BIO for me, but who knows me better than me? Right?  Well maybe my wife. If you don?t want to read this you can listen to my video Bio click here! Ok here we go! My name is Jerry Gearhart and I have lived in Alabama for 28 years. My wife Diane, and I have lived in Athens Alabama for the past 18 years. We have 5 children, 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild. Yes, we are a wonderful blended family.   Two of our children are in the military serving our country. Why did we pick Athens AL. Small town environment, but (Growing Quickly).  We have seen this community grow into the thriving community it is today. 

I have actually been involved in Real Estate since 1986. I first obtained my license in North Carolina. I was not actually going to be a sales agent, just wanted to obtain the expertise and knowledge as I started flipping houses while serving as a test pilot in the military. Before long home sellers and home buyers started contacting me to help them solve specific problems they were having in real estate. So.... I picked a real estate brokerage listed my license, and hung my help shingle.

I Moved to Alabama after separating from the Military to be closer to my wife?s family. Transferred my license to Alabama began marketing my expertise in Ozark Al. Moved to Athens Al 4 years later to be closer to my wife?s? cancer treatment center.  I take pride in helping Sellers and Buyers navigate the complex process of selling and buying a home. Oh did I forget? I'm a licensed flight instructor also. Love the wind under my wings. (Do you desire to learn how to fly????)  I love talking aviation!

What is my specific niche market?? Marketing real estate, and helping Seniors with their real estate needs. Of course, I help 1st time buyers. I have a team of mortgage brokers and lenders which specialize in helping 1st at time buyers qualify buying a home. Commercial Real Estate is a passion of mine. More about that later.

What is my Experience and Expertise in selling Homes, and commercial real estate? I obtained my Brokers license in 2005 which gave me the ability to expand my experience level. Completed the IS0 9000 internal and external business auditor?s course adding my ability to analyzing business efficiency, processes and contracting in commercial real estate.  I joined Exit Realty Hometown as I love to mentor, teach new agents as well as experienced agents. I feel a duty to better serve the public, give you the client/consumer superior service, helping Exit Realty Downhome provide well-trained agents. There is an old saying. If you have an idea and I have an idea and we keep our idea?s to ourself, we have one idea. If you and I share our idea?s; we have two!!!! Helping people succeed gives me great joy. That is why I obtained my Alabama Real Estate Instructors authorization!
