My name is Jon Niemeyer, and I am a Trusted Advisor when it comes to Buying or Selling real estate in the Warren County area, with most of the emphasis on the communities of Norwalk, Indianola, Cumming, West Des Moines, and Prole. This area is very desirable to people wanting to locate in the Des Moines Metro since it still has a rural feel, but easy commutes to the Des Moines International Airport, Downtown Des Moines, and the Jordan Creek Town Center.

I have been helping people buy and sell real estate in this area for over 20 years and have the knowledge and experience to guide you through the process of your next move. I have been very active in the community serving in organizations like the Norwalk Area Chamber of Commerce, Warren County Leadership Institute, Warren County Assessor's Office, Warren County Economic Development Corporation, and Indianola First Assembly of God.

I am a Real Estate Broker licensed in the State of Iowa, a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, the Iowa Association of REALTORS®, the Des Moines Association of REALTORS®, the West Central Iowa Regional Board of REALTORS®, and I am especially proud to be a member of the Residential Real Estate Council and hold the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation that fewer than 3 of all real estate agents have.

About Jon Niemeyer Personally

I was born in Des Moines, IA, and have been a resident of Iowa my entire life. My wife Kristy and I met in 1st grade and were married in 1984. We raised three children who, as adults, now all live within a 10-mile radius of us. We also have three grandchildren. Kristy and I feel we have had a very blessed and adventurous life together that has included flying (even aerobatics), wilderness canoeing/camping, snow skiing, hiking, hunting/fishing, along with many other activities.

Real estate is my second twenty-year plus career, with the first being the Director of Technical Operations for a cable television company. I was also in the Air Force and Air National Guard where my job was in electronics. My interest and background in technology has been very beneficial to me now as real estate has become very high-tech. Kristy graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Graphic Art. She is very creative and is a major part of our business helping with marketing. She has a side business selling her own artwork.

Kristy and I view owning our business as a ministry disguised as a real estate brokerage. Our clients and agents are very important to us; we feel as though they are family and treat them that way. We chose the name North Star because of its position in the sky and how it was used for centuries to reliably find direction. Our mission statement also reflects our purpose, 'Pointing People in Positive Directions.' We look forward to serving you as well.
